About Grace Anglican Church

Who We Are

The earliest Christian community was characterized as a community of believers who devoted themselves to the “apostles teaching, fellowship, breaking of bread, and prayer.” (Acts 2:42) At Grace Anglican Church, we follow in that same tradition.

Each Sunday at 10am, we gather to worship. We sing contemporary and renewal songs, read from the Bible, listen to Fr. Scott’s teaching, and celebrate Holy Communion together. We invite you to come just as you are—fancy clothes aren’t expected at all! We offer a nursery for children who are five years old and younger; children are certainly welcome in the service, too.

We are member of the Anglican Mission in America, which is part of the broader, global Anglican Communion. We’re committed to serving Jesus and one another here and abroad.

Who You’ll Meet

The Reverend Scott Davis is our minister. Affectionately called Father Scott, he and his family have been part of the Fairhope community for almost twenty five years. He holds an M.Div. from Virginia Theological Seminary and has spent nearly forty years in pastoral ministry. He and his wife, Sue Anne, have three adult children and three grandsons. When he’s not preaching, teaching, pastoring, or counseling, he can be found working in his yard.

Fr. Scott delights in baptizing babies into the faith.

Ministries We Support

Light of the Village—a Christian ministry in the most impoverished and violent neighborhood in Alabama, LOV offers after school tutoring, summer Bible camps, weekly worship experiences, meal trains, and off-site mission experiences for older students. One of our members is on staff and serves at several of LOV’s five campuses in the Mobile area. Members of Grace provide meals for college-age interns during the summer program, as well at holidays throughout the year.
